A mobile listening station takes shape during the festival week. Kurant9000 is launching a project to collect and archive the sound of young, untamed voices in the boundless North. What is the sound of us? If you see a listening station on wheels rolling around in the city center, just find the FM radio and tune in. During the festival week, the public will be able to listen to daily radio broadcasts, live performances, field recordings and conversations. Through encounters with people, surroundings and sound, a curious group of artists ask questions about fluid identities and their common belonging. During the Barents Spectacle, Kurant9000 in collaboration with the Barents Spectacle invites Zatoshi Zlackamoto (NO) to perform live and Daria Orlova (RU) to an online residency and live performance. The listening station also has a base at Turisthotellet during the festival week.
